He's been around for a minute. I remember him having a buzz when I was in my early 20s and I'm in my 30s now.

A lot of young boy fans' parents were likely future, migos and chief keef fans as well ya know what im sayin?:mjpls:

who said anything about thinking They're better than anyone :heh:
You are very clearly saying that fans of future, Migos, chief Keef and Youngboy are far beneath you. I’m wondering what it is about the music that you listen to that makes you feel superior.

First I thought he was just an internet sensation, but this weekend, I was in N.O and he was performing across the street from The Hyatt where I was staying. He sold out an Arena with no guests I heard. After the concert I’m chilling at the bar and I just see a mass of people (kids, parents, teens white/black) all wearing green and red bandannas.

The hotel even had a Slime theme with their staff. They had a Slime menu and slime drinks.

Everybody I was with was of a certain age and we were all blown away like :dahell: :ohhh:

You would have thought this nikka was MJ or something.

But the most amazing thing is. all those kids at the hotel were well mannered and polite af. No shenanigans or YN activities.
A couple of years ago I was working at this bar that was mostly college age women up to mid 20s, and Youngboy was BY FAR the most popular rapper and often the only rapper they talked about. And this went for the white chicks, Asian chicks and the Black chicks. From the college girls to the ratchet ones, the only male artist more popular than dude amongst them was Chris Brown. shyt was wild to me lol. And all of his fans are ready to go to war with you if you say you’re not into his music. :dead:

For the longest time I didnt understand the appeal until I rolled a 3.5 gram blunt and hit the road last Friday. I got out the car fully understanding now. He puts out alot of music and if u listen long enough you'll find a handful of shyt that u might like. I started wit Vette Motors and ran that shyt back 3x in a row. From there I went to Tiadal and played his essential Playlist and found more hot shyt. I ain't a fan but I can see the appeal now. And despite alot of the bullshyt he caused on himself he seems like a good dude and he appreciates his fans.
Essentially Gucci Mane in the 00s. A lot of people thought he was trash but he put out so much music you were gonna find SOMETHING you liked in his catalog.

You remember when in wrestling Stone Cold, The Rock, and a bunch of other guys all left at the same time? Yeah that’s what this is. He’s the last nikka standing and people are desperate

No, he’s had this fanbase for 8+ years.

It’s funny how ya’ll are so out of touch that you can’t “explain” his popularity because it defies internet taking points.

I don’t know why it won’t let me embed TikTok videos but here’s a whole gym of kids singing Lonely Child

And this is a classic video of NBA players singing Youngboy during warmups
