Can someone explain why iPhone is deemed worthy over the Galaxy?

I have no beef with andriod (bought my mom an s8 a couple years back) and even desired their open environment when i was in college (wanted the htc desire ) and use to do shyt like hack phones and shyt.

but now, i just use my phone for emailing, txting, video calls etc. i been with iphone since the 4, i dont have a reason to switch.

I appreciate samsung for keeping their foot on apples neck tho, if we keeping it a buck :yeshrug:

It’s the ecosystem primarily for me.

I use a MacBook for work and being able to iMessage from my desktop is a big plus. It’s also more encrypted from a security standpoint than regular green text messages.

iOS is a more fluid and intuitive experience in my opinion. I really like the new screen time features that break down how often you’re spending in each app. I can put reminders for me to stay off Instagram/Twitter/The Coli after a certain amount of time. Tracks my sleep schedule and integrates very well with Apple CarPlay in a lot of the latest model vehicles.

My girlfriend has a Pixel and it’s a wonderful device due to the camera quality. So if you’re not already heavily invested in the ecosystem they’re are comparable phones on the market. I would probably opt for a Pixel if I didn’t get the XS. Only because I question Samsung in terms of reliability and build quality long-term.

The Apple tax and brand perceptions are real, but it’s the safest bet for most people who aren’t primarily concerned with customization options.

Idk the difference. I just wanna phone that functions. It seems like everybody I know whose into IT or something always has an Android. Apparently they are capable of more. This one chick I know whose in IT tried to explain the difference. “With Androids you can get more apps and the components allow you the capability to...wamp wamp wamp”

I heard nothing after that. I was lost :dwillhuh:

This is really all it boils down to, preference. If you just want to look cool with your phone (which is a lot of folks) then iPhone is it. If you care more about control over your phone than looking 'cool' then Android is the way to go.

For a pretty vain example, all my phones have been Android, but I hate the Emojis. I rooted my last one and installed an app where I can switch iPhone or any other kind of emojis I want, down to the version :blessed:. Some people go much further and tweak the performance, etc.

I bought an iPhone from a pawn shop for testing purposes a few years ago and them shyts were separated from the rest of the phones, in the jewelry section :dead:

The newer up to date Androids can compete with iOS, most iPhones all look the same only difference is the software system but because it's sponsored by Apple people think their shyt is high quality.

Androids depending on the brand and how up to date the phone model/OS is better than iOS. I'm not talking about cheap Androids either.

I've always bought myself androids, but always get given iphones as work phones.
There is no meaningful difference between the two and don't understand how people think having an iphone means status. Most of these people don't even own their phones and rent them monthly.

Every time I used a droid phone it was always glitchy or slow
this is because the hardware is not optimized for the software
Samsung has the latest tech but since Google develops the OS there is jankiness...apple develops both the OS and the hardware, so everything is smooth
I know there is the Pixel but Apple's integration and delivery system is far better than Google's

Moreover, Apple's industrial design team is the GOAT
