Meltzer said he took a more in depth test in New York before the Royal Rumble, D-Bry got the results almost two weeks ago and did more tests as part of the process. Dave said that he shouldn't have the results of the second round of testing but that either WWE saw the first results and confirmed him he isn't going to ever get cleared, or that D-Bry got scared after the 1st batch of tests and realize he shouldn't wrestle anymore.

The thing he got tested in Phoenix and UCLA were things that could be compensated by his IQ. The test he's getting in New York measure how quickly his brain is healing from punishment, or something to that effect. I already forgot the details

It didn't sound THAT bad from what Meltzer was saying. Also, it didn't seem the test could actually tell if he's developing CTE or not.

I hope its not that serious but if it is serious enough its best for his health he doesnt make things dramatcally worse

Basically think of it like this OP, Wrestling isn't just a sport per see, but a deliberate show that will inflict bodily harm. So Concussion wise Bryan is totally fine to play sports, but his body can't handle Professional Wrestling's grind anymore.
