He's bailed people out, paid for some funerals, and has raised general awareness to a portion of this generation of black people who were lacking awareness of high school level black history.

That being said, dude is hypocritical, shortsighted, wild inflammatory, and really is ultimately self-serving. I say this as someone who has followed him for over a decade. Dude needs to stay out of political commentary and stick to history and entertainment. He's leading people down a bad path politically.

There is also the myriad donations to black schools.

OP, somehow you didn't see the three times I asked in that old thread:troll:, what did the Civil Rights negroes who moved to Congress accomplish for black people since the Civil Rights Act?

Agents can't read....they're only here to mess with black people:yeshrug:

The 215
the good thing with tariq is he literally has receipts....That's one thing I can say about the breh...He most def does show support via tangibles and presence. And he is also intelligent enough to realize that we don't need a "leader"...For all the hustles that Tariq has he most def does show and prove in times of need for people. And doesn't have to brag and boast about it. Seems like a generally good breh even though I know he has his haters on this website. But they actually spend more time listening to him than his supporters.
I disagree with the don't need a leader stuff. Y'all like that Chapelle skit move act like followers but he's not a "leader"? Yeah ok. He a leader to some of y'all no matter how much y'all try to eurostep that shyt. If he didn't have to brag and boast how the fukk would we know what he does if most of the receipts aren't shyt he posted himself? See this the stuff that makes his followers look bad.

Paid for Dr Ben elderly care after he was abandoned in retirement home

for this alone he deserves respect. one thing about us is we'll talk the talk, but what does it say about us when we let someone who's contributed as much as Dr. Ben lay up in a nursing home forgotten?

and don't forget he was one of the first to really shine a light on Black immigrants who come over here c00ning while trying to represent all Black people here.

Brother Tariq out here putting that work in.

The 215
Tariq was wack as hell for that disrespectful crap, but people like Tariq will always have a lane, and his following will only get larger. When he decides to move on, someone will just take his place. It’s unfortunate, because someone with a bit more knowledge could express what Tariq is trying to say with a bit more respect.

Someone pointed it out, but his base consists of angry individuals. Individuals who see the lack of opportunities for black Americans or are experiencing it themselves. That number will grow.
Like you said there will always be a lane because of bold. Tariq is just the black version of the white people that people shyt on here as far as who his audience is. He tells them stuff to rile them up and let's the money roll in and I will always say he's a genius for that. Most are just on here doing the same shyt as him getting no bread from it. At least Tariq has monetized it to live nicely and take care of his family.

HE COSPONSORED LEGISLATION FOR REPARATIONS FOR DESCENDANTS OF THE ENSLAVED IN AMERICA NOW SHUT THE FUKK UP

But even if he didn't the man literally bled for black people. Tariq Stans are fukking pathetic and should be negged on sight.

You mean the bill to simply STUDY reparations? The one sponsored by Sheila Jackson Lee that had 23 original co-sponsors (none of them being John Lewis)? Getting your ass whooped and "bleeding" for black people is a symbolic hurdle you minions have to get over. Him signing his name along with 136 other Congressman isn't something to cheer about especially when he wasn't in the forefront. You're creating a legacy for a man that did absolutely nothing while in D.C. for black people. You brainwashed cats that see honor in getting your ass whooped and being noble about it are the ones holding up progress. Its ok to say that even though their intentions were good in the 60's, whatever plan they had that came to fruition failed.

Creating a commission to study reparations is exactly how the Indians and Japanese got reparations. Beyond that John Lewis cosponsored and pushed for bills to ensure fair housing for black people, equal pay for black people, and constantly fought to protect voting rights for black people. His voting record when it comes to civil rights is 100%

Dumbasses like you have allowed other idiots like Tariq Nasheed to make you believe that elected officials can just wave their hands and enact their agendas or beliefs into law but that’s not how congress works. Turn off YouTube and go read a civics book. Go actually run for office and let’s see what you can accomplish compared to John Lewis.

Above the fray.

There are fundraisers for the warrior elders and many people support them when we find out about it. Grassroots organizations help them, and only publicize it when they need the public's support.

tariq turn on immigrants was allegedly personal, after he tried to get dual citizenship and his past caught up to him during the background check. A dude who followed him traced the turn to him mentioning that his efforts to get citizenship in a country on the continent didn't go through. Can't erase your past, but rather than pointing that being the reason.....he shifted to "Africans never did anything for AAs".
His business partner has what appears to a Nigerian last name, the crew that continuously produces his series of docs are full of white people. Film credits and IMDB can confirm that.

Rhetoric he promotes is game that he runs on his audience. Clear as day. It's all game.

I listed a specific legislation that you referenced....now how about you list a specific one instead of blanket buzz words? And I noticed you said "co-sponsored"....how about running one that this beacon of hope for black people actually SPONSORED? While you're at it, name the legislation that outlined the "study" that just prompted them to declare most of Oklahoma a reservation? Don't try to shame other black people because we want more than the empty buzzwords from our supposed "leaders". And I fully expect you, Mr. "Read a civics book", to not name ANYTHING specific.....maybe a few voters registrations drives he spearheaded. But that's it.
