Can someone point me to the work Tariq Nasheed has put in for the cause?

John Lewis' contributions up until his death is only a Google search away. It's shameful you're denigrating his name when the evidence demonstrates he did more in one month than most people do in their entire lifetime, and I'm talking about recently.

John Lewis
He contributed absolutely nothing.

OP is an agent hater that has contributed nothing as well.

The hidden colours documentary is enough, what is everyone else doing? What Is more important than Education? That series is one of the biggest series based around black peoples of now and yesteryear in recent times, I don't expect much more from him but he continues to do such.

If everyone of African origin on this forum can do as much it would be incredible.
some of you nikkas are super easily impressed but when you come from nothing everything looks soo much bigger. Improve your life fam

Point is, "actual work" is a different thing today.

Tariq has more influence in 6 months with the people than John Lewis can have in 30 years. His tweeting can get national discussions in weeks on important issues while John Lewis may had some good ideas no one know about.
You give him tooooooo much credit smh. His national discussions take place in twitter world not the real, world. Its not like duke tweets something and next day you see it being discussed on national mainstream media. If he had that type of influence constantly I'd agree with this "national discussion" business. National "black twitter" discussions don't amount to overall national discussions my guy get real.

Thing is, twitter, fb, youtube, and Instagram world is bleeding into street world more and more.

Not everything translates, but when something goes viral it's a wrap. We're seeing racist cacs fired, begging and pleading not to be recorded because they're learning the power of social media.

I think every high emotion event in the last few years concerning oppression of black people has been galvanized by social media.

Look here's the thing you don't have to bring down another Black man to highlight a Black man's accomplishments. Moreso a Civil Rights leader who has been in the struggle since before Tariq was born. Only in 2020 is it cool to shyt on our ancestors from the comfort of our computers and smartphones.

And a lot of the people doing it, haven't done a damn thing for the black community themselves.

11. When he had his dream realized with the opening of the Smithsonian's African-American museum

After Lewis spent 15 years fighting for the landmark, the new National Museum of African American History and Culture opened on Sept. 24.

It's the Smithsonian's latest addition to Washington's National Mall and another "historic crusade" for Lewis.

Lewis sat with President Barack Obama as he dedicated the museum Saturday and gave a compelling six-minute speech about the museum and its significance later that morning.
