Can someone recommend a camp gun for me?

I'm not a gun guy, I just want something for security when going camping. I don't plan on shooting it a lot, and it has to stow easily on a motorcycle. I'm looking for something low maintenance and compact that will put someone down, because if I pull it I'm busting. Don't need to spray the park just the cac who sparked.

I've taken a couple gun safety classes and been out shooting, so I'm not completely green.

rly any 9mm (sub)compact pistol you're comfortable with is gonna be fine against two and four legged threats, i guess a glock 19/48/43x would be the most common choice, hit my sig for more suggestions

There are tactical short barrel brands out there can be broken down and stored in a backpack during transport.
