We're 4-3, Haven't Won A SB In Decades And Aint Winning One This Year, We Aint Running Anything, The fukk :heh:
This. I almost feel as if people are low-key jinxing us when they say that. Let us cook and continue to rebuild. In another season or two when we're really good then they can slob all the knob they want. Till then feels like they're building us up to break us down.

Its possible if they have a long string of success. By success I don't mean back to back super bowls necessarily but a superbowl and maybe a couple of deep playoff runs in a row. NY supports winners. When I first started watching sports in 92 this was unquestionably a knick town. Then the Yankees won and they had their string of success. The town is up for grabs now but its going to take a long string of success and possibly the failure of other local teams to make it a jets town

This is nicca is :troll: By saying the jets/mets will create a bigger buz than the Yankees /giants

Its true tho....look at the hysteria the '86 Mets, and '94 Rangers caused. Fans had grown accustomed to them losing, and as such they became underdogs that many identified with, in the hopes they could one day get over the hump. Just natural psychology. We're used to the Giants and Yanks winning, so its no big deal now (although the yanks winning in 96 was huge because it had been so long). If the Jets or Knicks win, the city goin apesht.

I knew Mets fans were rooting for Philly in 09. It shocked the shyt outta me :dwillhuh:Not saying root for us but at least root for Philly to lose. Whats another Yanks championship anyway :troll:
I rooted for Boston in 86...

That was the only time I have ever rooted for anything Boston...

No franchise that spawned from that shythole in Flushing and ends with an "ets" will ever run NYC...They should have both been relegated a long time ago...

i hope so, someday, before i die :to:

its so weird the attachment i have to the jets. all of my classmates were giants fans n i wanted to go against the crowd so i became a jets fan. then i just kept watching games, even thru a 1-15 season(:pacspit: kotite) and never looked back. a jets game can literally affect my mood for the whole week. i will literally be depressed if i have to miss a game for work, even if we suck(which we usually do).

when we win a super bowl, i will cry brehs. no joke, i will literally tear up. too much emotion has been put into this team. if we become a dynasty, we can run this city simply because people are used to the yankees and giants winning. jets, mets and knicks becoming powerhouses would be :blessed: for this city.

To answer your question, Yes the Jets could run NYC imo. Maybe not this team, but a better Jets team could. You saw a glimpse of it when they went to back to back AFC championship games. When the Jets/Mets are actually good and much better than they other NY teams, the Giants/Yanks, there is a buzz in the city you get that you don't get with the Giants and Yanks. Probably due to the fact it's so rare that the Mets and Jets are ever good, but there is a buzz and you feeling you get. I don't think any team has ever captured the city like the 86 Mets did. So yeah I think the Jets could run the city.
