Spurs was never in the finals 2 years in a row when Duncan was younger & in his prime but yall sayin that they will be now?

I dont see it, unless they sign someone who actually makes them better & not just decent/good role players...

if spurs kept jackson they'd be nba champions right now
he is the EXACT player they needed in the miami series
This was their last chance

They had a pretty easy run because of the lakers and OKC injuries, dallas took a year off for once in 12 years. memphis and golden state were never serious threats to beating them. the west is gonna improve next year and duncan's gonna be another year old. manu and parker always injured too. unless they add some solid new players, they probably get eliminated in da second round

Memphis took OKC to 7 in 2011 and they had a triple OT game in that series.

Ibaka didn't do anything to halt Zbo and Perkins was horrible last month

Russ would have won a game or two by himself but I think Memphis is very capable of just making them exclusively jump shooters. Plus Memphis takes care of the basketball and rebounds. A formula for success despite their lack of shooting.

OKC is overrated and Barkley's simple analysis of them is on point. You ain't beating no one only shooting jumpers off of ISO clear outs early in the shot clock.

Uhm okc is better than in 2011, and memphis is WORSE. That's right, they are worse. they had battier and mayo to stretch the floor and zbo was better as well.

Okc would handle memphis almost as bad as the spurs did.

Barkley is an idiot

Yes, Kawhi Leonard and Danny green are budding stars, Tim Duncan is in his autumn years, but still a very good big, and Tony Parker is an elite PG. Manu is done and has to go, Matt Bonner while still a good shooter from 3 is inept in otherwise, they need a worker at the backup 4-5 position someone that can play the paint. DeJuan Blair is a bust and is clearly a backup not a starter.

All they need is to draft a servicable 3 and maybe (not sure of their cap situation) try to get Monta Ellis or OJ Mayo and maybe get a better big to backup (Deandre Jordan?).

If I'm not mistaken Manu, Bonner and Blair take up 18 milly in cap space.

:heh: why do people keep saying this?

Gasol is better now than he was back then. So is Conley.

Pondexter could stretch the floor but Hollins was stupid not to play him more minutes.

OKC's bigs weren't stopping Memphis's frontline. You even had sequences where Durant was playing the 4 and had to guard Zbo or Gasol.

The Spurs have superior coaching and roster balance to OKC's two perimeter dominant scorers who get their points on jumpshots.

Memphis still beats them in a closer series because they dictate the pace and they want those close ugly games in the 80s that they had this year. Plus the Grizzlies take care of the ball.

Spurs might not make it out the semis to be honest.

Warriors, Thunder, Grizz, Clips will all be better by then. This offseasln bout to be crazy. Luckily the Lakeshow will be trash just in time for the 2014 Draft, with plenty cap space.

Disgust at people counting out OKC. You better pray Westbrook doesn't come back 100%. Next season is gonna be amazing though with the return if Westbrook, Rose and Kobe return.

OKC has the west to lose.

Golden state and Memphis can be threats as well if the get their shyt together.

Hate to say it cause the Spurs are such a consistent organization. They draft well have a great coach and players buy into the system.

But their core is getting old. And it's gonna be hard to replace Tim Duncan.

That's basically impossible.

Yall the same motherfukks who didnt give us a chance this year. So yall saying that we cant come back means nothing. U obviously dont know sh!t about basketball.
