In what regard?
Can individuals come together for a greater cause without losing their individuality? Can people work towards the same goal without being the same?
Malcolm X and Dr. King for example. Both are civil rights leaders but their ideals and methods were different. Both of their styles kinda worked together in a good cop bad cop sorta way.

Yes. In the same way you have a unique car composed of multiple parts, you have nations composed of multiple people, molecules composed of multiple atoms, paintings composed of multiple colors etc.

The multitude of forms the small elements adopt doesn't prevent the unicity of the ensemble in which you can find them.

Just my thoughts.

Unique people can come together for a common cause but it depends on how much effort that common cause requires.

We can unify and go to a Million Man March for a weekend but can we live the lifestyle the March wants us to live for years to come?

So you believe that individuality must be sacrificed to some degree?

Above the fray.
Did you just post definitions as the OP?

We had preachers that used to start their sermons like that....literally.

We nicknamed them Rev. Speak and Spell.

Uniformity and Unity are two totally different things and shouldn't be comparable

You can have 100% unity with 50% uniformity

The assumes tacit acceptance by each of the component parts as to their purpose, and that every ball-bearing doesn't believe that they can one day be the steering wheel. :jbhmm:

Great question, great thread.

I think if people identify the overarching goals, then yes. The problems arise when goals conflict because they weren't communicated correctly.

Too many people assume we are reading from the same set of rules.
