this is not to say this is a good thing (even though death grips is my favourite hip hop group atm) cos Kanye basically failed with this Yeezus album minus like 2-3 songs (which were the soul sample/southern driven songs)

True, but it hasn't been explored on this board to my knowledge, and there's only like 3 people on here that fukk with death grips like that so I just wanted to see what the coli bredrins would think about it.


And to the catchy thing, yeah probs but taking influence/borrowing doesn't equate to direct copies

I'd say tracks like i've seen footage and lord of the game are more catchy than some songs on Yeezus

Yeah, true...but I don't really mind that because I think death grips's stuff is amazing and I always believe the influence of someone that the general populace like should get its shine (that's not to say this thread is fact, but i'm pretty sure it is)
