Can we admit that Matt Hardy was always better than Jeff?

Christian was always the friend we should sign who is better than edge, breh.
Edge even made it so Christian was a big deal debuting as well.
Which resulted in gold immediately.

Christian was always the better worker and never had to ramp like edge did with the smack down six.
Christian was already actualized as top shelf talent before the wwf

Edge just had the look McMahon covets for a bf.
Past that Christian always lapped edge and edge rallied for chrisitian's spot because Christian was the higher quality worker since jump.

Matt was pretty good in 2002-2004 then he sucked until that MVP feud, sucked some more for years until he turned it around last year.

Jeff's been consistently better for longer but his personal issues bring him down.

As a tag team of course they're top tier though.

I brought this up to my sister a couple of months ago that Matt might be better than Jeff in retrospect. We were conditioned to hate Matt because Jeff was the "cool" one.

But version 1 and the Edge feud were big moments in his career. V1 as a gimmick was better than Jeff's generic spot monkey steez looking back. That v1 theme was puff. But I was blinded and conditioned to like the guy that jumped off the ladder

Matt Hardy Version 1 & Broken Matt are two great gimmicks, but I gotta go with Jeff. His effortless ability to get the crowd on his side cannot be produced. He has IT. Plus that ladder match with Taker is better than any Matt Hardy match I can think of

I still don't "get" the whole Broken Matt Hardy thing. All just seems like more overrated indy gimmick bullshyt that wont get over with a mainstream audience.

I think some of the people in this thread are forgetting just how over Jeff Hardy was at his peak. Dude was rivaling Cena for top spot in the company and was actually putting on some really good matches with just about everybody he faced.

The revisionist history needs to stop. All the "He's able to reinvent himself so much" bullshyt is laughable. All Matt Hardy has is this Broken shyt and the V1 thing over the span of 20 years and the V1 thing wasn't as over as some of yall are trying to make it seem.

I'll give Matt credit for being able to revive his career at a time when it seemed like he was going to know primary as a punch line. As someone else pointed out Matt Hardy was continually taking L's for about a 5 year period. Kudos to him for getting his career and personal life back on track, but Jeff has always been the better of the two.

I have no doubt that Jeff will immediately be over in WWE even if they lose creative control. Even with full creative control I'm not sure if Matt Hardy will be able to get over the way that he wants to in WWE.

Jeff Hardy always sucked after the entrance music ended

All these young ROH era guys eclipsed his "spot monkey" style too

Matt Hardy always had "It" just had too many Attitude Era stars in his way

Lmaoooooooooooooo there's not a single wrestling fan that's kept up with the Hardyz careers that should believe this. Matt Hardy V1 (6-7 years into his WWE career) was the first time he had ever shown legit personality and charisma, but he ditched that to go to Raw and be with Lita just cause he was that much of a simp. On the flip side, Jeff had "it" from day one.

I'm not even sure if you can say Matt is the better wrestler now, let alone later in their careers. They had singles matches during their time together in WWE and there's a reason nobody remembers Matt's Matches but people can rattle off a bunch of dope singles matches that Jeff has had.

The only gimmicks Matt has ever "pulled off" were the V1 thing and this current Broken thing. Everything else he's done has flopped on some level or another.
