They should have kept him scary and not use him so often. Almost like he shouldn't have been a main member of the roster at some point and just went away for a long time(doing backstage work or something behind the scenes so that viewers forgot about him) and then out of nowhere he returns to destroy somebody.
Keep the mysterious aura around him like they protect The Undertaker. That way when he shows up it feels special and not like...just another RAW/SD. They were using the dude way too much at one point and even when he was past his prime it got to the point where there was nothing special about him anymore. At some point in his career he should have been the monster who shows up once in a blue moon and then goes back into hiding. Same thing for Mark Henry and Big Show, if a monster is always around eventually you don't fear them anymore.

You gotta give it up to Glen Jacobs, he had not one but two career killing gimmicks and he parlayed that into the longest tenured guy on the roster

Meh. Kane had a great career to me. Not every wrestler is gonna have storybook career from beginning to end. This just feels nitpicky to me. WWE got maximum production out of Kane character.

No one ever seems to rank him among the all time greats of wrestling that's why. I'm not saying he's top 5/10 material, but he's not as far down at 70/80+ where most articles seem to rank him, whereas Taker is top 5 always. I get why Taker is ranked higher, but 75 spots higher? Nah.

Yes, YES, like WHY the fukk do people forget how awesome that run was? Kane could not get booed for years after that. That and the Mark Henry run of 2011 are how you book late career heels.
