as far as the pentatonic scales, i don't know, i think it could have worked on that type of beat, it's just that he probably picked the wrong key...

does anyone have the video of Scarface playing the guitar? from what i remember he was pretty decent.
RZA also seems like he could come up with some interesting stuff cause his sense of melody can be kinda quirky sometimes. when he was playing in studio with the Black Keys, you could tell he's a beginner but i still had the
face. Rza is the type of dude who should hire a session guitar player and just hum him melodies. and then record everything, chop and sample.

If he woulda just found the correct key of the song, he coulda played anything and it woulda sounded at least semi-decent.
