Sadly he isn't getting one of the better jobs out there. That roster isn't the greatest and they probably won't be horrible enough to get a lottery pick in a weak conference. I'm hoping they give him a fair opportunity to see what he can do instead of firing him after one or two bad seasons just to hire the next big thing in coaching.

a career assistant goes to coach a group of washed up mercenaries and underachievers... congrats

watching him trying to use his iron fist style coaching on Deron and KG is going to be comedy
KG will have absolutely no problems at all buying into his system, after all they both live by the same code.

Felt more like a "I'll take what I can get" type of deal to me. Ain't nothing hype about coaching the Nets brehs.

It's a fukkin job....with a billionaire owner who's not afraid to spend money...is he better off sitting at home on his ass?:mindblown:

this mane @AITheAnswerAI negged me with the message "cac"

Im black you idiot ...and I've prolly missed only 10 games that Lionel Hollins has head coached.

You caught up in being so happy that a black coach got a job, that you don't even care that he isn't great at his job. Hollins is the type of coach that has to have a whipping boy and will ruin a perfectly fine player to make himself the bossman. He has terrible play calling, especially out of timeouts, and his (lack of) time management skills has guys gassed by the end of the 3rd qtr. That Grizzlies team that made the WCF basically coached itself, as evident by him being replaced by a D-League coach and being a Zbo-less game 7 away from sending the Thunder fishing.

I'm actually happy he has a new gig. He is a aight guy away from the court, I've met him at Mesquite Chop House and twice at Blue Plate Cafe (each time with a different chick) But if anybody thinks he is about to do anything but help the Nets tank, while they try to dump Deron and Iso Joe you are delusional. The whole Brooklyn experiment failed and he is equal to a bandaid after a shotgun blast to the dome.

Nah he's better off with the Nets. Just nothing to congratulate. It's not a prized position. A rookie coach didn't even want it.
