fukk that fam, I've found some dope music by word of mouth on forums, and even taking that music and using radio features on Pandora/last.fm to find other acts with similar music that are also dope. As well as just browsing the catalog of dudes on the same labels and shyt.

Really ain't hard at all to find new music. I've found well over 50 artists in the last year using this method and they all dope.

Edit: I will also add that rap diets help, taking a break from Hip-Hop helps keep the music fresh.

Usually its blogs and forums like this. A lot of the elitist fakkits over at Okayplayer drop some gems every now and then. The internet is wide open. Jon Connor is from my hometown and I never even heard of him until I saw Nas talkin about him on Youtube.

Live shows and festivals is another thing. A dude like Curren$y might be in your city, go see his show, see who's opening up for him - they might be dope.

Traveling is a good way too. When I went to South Beach last year, it was a lot of hungry, dusty nikkas rotating their mixtapes on the strip. lol One of those nikkas could be that next dude to pop. :manny:

Cause the shyt was wack. :yeshrug:

Going left doesnt mean you cant be wack or get a pass for being wack :yeshrug:

Yeazle would have done better to "keep it traditional" and step his bars up. nikka gets lost in his own visions and forgets whats important.

Full disclosure I havent heard Yeezus yet.

What exactly is traditional? Soulful samples? Didn't you say you wanted a new sound.

As far as Kanye having bars, since when did he? He's not lyrically on the same level as Nas, Lupe, J Cole or Kendrick.

Not saying that he's lyrically on the same level as French Montana or little B. :whoa:

Who said anything about Ye being on Nas level :comeon:

Ye has his moments (Chain Heavy, Diamonds Are Forever etc). And "traditional" = not techno. If a nikka can make techno work, go for it... shyt, he did with "Stronger"... but if the shyt doesnt work, go with what does :manny:
