Can we finally admit that Cassidy was better than Big L?

Nope, Cass isn't on his level...

He's just wreckless with punchlines

Big L kills him on everything. Homerun Hitters Freestyle with Jay Z shyts on anything Cass related.

First and especially that last Big L verse would embarrass Cass...sorry facts are facts.

PROOF

Everybody loves L, but you flat out wrong saying L had Cass beat on rhyme schemes. The irony of people thinking that Cass was just punchlines when rhymes schemes was really what he excelled at.

honestly show me an L verse with this level of multis and rhyme schemes, this Cass verse is really one of the GOAT verses when it comes to rhyme scheming

I'm tryin' not to let this industry get the best of me, y'all
I work hard for the fame, the game's stressing me y'all
All they do is complain what they expect from me y'all
From the hood to Hollywood, they're respecting me y'all
And even overseas, they're accepting me y'all
All the ladies show me love, the thugs repping me y'all
I get a lot of dirty money, so expect me to ball
But I'm saving all my checks, I'm investing 'em all
They say, what goes up is gon' definitely fall
Even the stars, but success is my destiny, y'all
Look, I cook tracks I got the recipe, y'all
You can't name another cat that can mess with me, y'all
At the shows all the hoes be molesting me, y'all
I got broads crying trying to get next to me, y'all
I got broads craving begging to have sex with me, y'all
Screaming, "Cass you don't know how sexy you are!"
And I'm happy I'm alive, God's blessing me y'all
And all the problems that arrive is God testing me y'all
So I pray everyday, but I ain't praying too much
Cause I be sinning everyday, so I ain't praying enough
And we all could be beat, and I ain't saying I'm tough
But if it's beef I don't speak, I ain't saying "What's up"
If it's beef when we meet then I'm spraying shyt up
Prraat prraat. I ain't saying too much and that's that
Cause that cat you embracing with love
Might clap that gat cause he got hate in his blood
Keep your friends at a distance and your enemies close
Cause the folks you call friends tend to envy the most
Some cats'll hang themselves if you give 'em a rope
Burn the bridge and don't give a boat, let 'em sink
Sometimes you gotta give 'em some time to let 'em think
But sometimes you gotta give 'em the nine and let 'em stink
You can't bring every horse to the pond and let 'em drink
I rather keep my eyes wide open instead of blink
As soon as your eyes shut, them nikkas will ride up
And the guys that you trust be getting you tied up
And we all gotta die but, I ain't ready to leave
That's why, even if it's petty, I'll be ready to squeeze
But for the cheddar, the cheese, the guap, or moola
I pop the Ruger, send that hot shyt through ya
Like booya, that's the sound when the pound busting
Ooh, ah, you'll be laying on the ground suffering
Clown it's nothing
to pull out and blast you
I try to only resort to violence if I have to
But, man, nikkas out here are playing fair
So before the odds even I'm leaving them laying there
And I ain't even playing, believe what I'm saying here
Cause before this shyt gets further your click gets murdered
And found in a hole in the grass
For trying to play that thug role I'll stomp a mud hole in your ass
And this Cass, nikka, I'm that sick
Full Surface nikka, I'm that shyt
bytch

Man nikkas wanna talk about technical ability, but I swear that generation of spitters from 2000-2006, Cass, Faboulous and Street Fam, JR Writer and 40 Cal, Eminem etc etc were the peak and pinnacle of technical rapping

Cassidy had that awful Hotel song. I guess he dropped an album with that?
Then he came back with Hustla. That album was wack, but at least I cared enough to download and listen once. :yeshrug:
Then he had the drink and 2 step song which I liked, but I don't remember if he got an album out of that or not :yeshrug:
What else?

I only really checked for the first two albums (both garbage) and nothing after, but I know he has some mixtapes. He has a few dope songs though.

His rhyme schemes, flow, complex verses etc were better than Cass's...Cass might have heavier punchlines but that's because he says anything...he talks reckles...he's part of that Philly rap battle scene back in 2005 where youngins said anything that they could think of....watch all of the battles from back then with Touch Money, Topklass, Reed Dollaz, Cysserro etc It's all on youtube, and they all sound alike in Philly.....THEY ALL battle like he does. He's nothing special but he's a little more sharper than most Philly rappers who battle...

Like I said before, Cass just talks reckless...he's strictly a battle rapper

He uses the same formula almost every time...

He always uses one noun twice in the same verse but in a different way...

For example...he'll say "I;m not Iron Man, but I got guns that'll kill Iron Man..."

He doesn't talk about ANYTHING but drugs and guns and what he''s going to do to you...

L can story tell about females, school, street level stuff, and freestyle about all types of subjects...I don't now how you can compare Cass's songs (which all sound like Punhline battle raps) to "Casualties of a Dice Game"
or "The Heist", "School Dayz" "Times is Hard on the Boulevard" etc etc...I just don't see where Cass is better...

Cass or Beans. I'm not saying that Cass isn't great but his discography doesn't show for it. I couldn't label him the Philly GOAT because of that.

L does got him beat on storytelling, and to me L is better as an emcee/artist overall

but like I said, you keep saying that L has Cass beat on rhyme schemes.
Give me an L verse that was more complex rhyming than Cass on Six Minutes of Death.

L was good with rhyme schemes but thats the one category he wasn't touching Cass in
