easiest thing to do is right click on the image, save it. then goto imgur: the simple image sharer and upload it there. the media gallery we have uses weird URLs that aren't recognized.

@cook, I think the point is that The Coli needs more smileys as a default anyways.

Boxden has probably has a few hundred and this site seems way more powerful.

exactly. The point isnt how to do it through the system within the profile feature at the top. I just think it would be cool to have more in the default box below the posting section.

we'll add more smileys soon. we do them periodically and try to not to do them impulsively to make sure they have longevity. it has nothing to do with power, that other site that was mentioned adds anything, regardless of size or quality and it looks a little tacky tbh

Nah I disagree.

I ain't say you had to open the flood gates, but more smileys = more expression of ideas. Thats the whole point of them. Can't try to fit a small amount into a wide range of responses.
