I remember thinking hip hop had died and that the corpse was stinking when this came out but in hindsight this was quality hip hop considering what we get now, at least he tried.

Nelly was a genius....Country Grammar was a gangsta rap album that was disguised by Nelly's country accent, slang, catchy hooks, melodic singing and harmonizing. It's insane how that shyt blew up the way it did. He literally came outta no where and dominated the charts.

I was a kid at the time when it dropped so I wasn't paying attention to the lyrics like that but later on I saw the Nelly wasn't no soft ass singing ass nikka lmao. He was not to be fukked with.

And yeah this shyt a classic...it's an album you bought that constantly got stolen and you'll have buy another copy
