In reality. Revenue being down was expected. And it has nothing to do with the current or future viability of the X1.
Revenue includes both X1 and 360 sales. 360 sales are way down due to it being 10 years old with no new release. Last year around this time 360 got titanfall, therefore it got a spike in revenue. Compared to this year when 360 has nothing, common sense should tell you revenue will be down. Secondly last year around this time X1 cost more money. So even with the same or more units sold, revenue would be down. Lastly X1 has no killer app this spring. Last year it had titanfall, so once again it makes logical sense that the Xbox division would bring in less money this year.
Has nothing to do with it "struggling" or "on its way out" its still doing better than 360 was at this time in the life cycle.
There will inevitably be times where playstation revenue is down for some quarters. Its just how business accounting works.
