Can we kill the myth that black people don't tip?

I've worked in the service industry and I know plenty of people that work in the service industry and I don't overtip unless the service is good. Even when it's not good I would leave a dollar unless they was totally disrespectful to me. I'm not going to overtip because they think I don't tip. As long as they do their job well they'll get something out of me. I usually tip between 15%-20% depending on the service. If the service is really, really good then I would tip 25%.

I tip 10% unless service is above and beyond then I round up to the next multiple of five.

If you forget me at any given time of my meal I tip $1 or stiff.

shyt.... I was at Quaker Steak with my friends during lunch and they both tipped the waitress $5.00... their meals were roughly $12 bucks, so they both paid around $17. My bill came out to $13.37, so when I wrote down the tip amount on the credit card receipt, let's just say the final total came out to $14.00

I can't get with this over tipping to compensate for the notion we don't tip.

I always have and always will tip according to service. fukk your percentages.

Problem these days is you can't go anywhere without seeing a tip jar at the counter. I'm sorry but if you are getting paid regular hourly wages to do your job I'm not tipping you.

I always tip especially at the bar. Bad service ( in my opinion) still deserves a tip, however I'm hard to please so my interpretation of good service is a little demanding. Every time I go to the bar I tip for every drink ( couple bucks). I look at it like this, if I have enough to the bar then I have enough to tip.
