Sounds good. I think people are starting to realize how overrated going to a bowl game is. Only thing that does is grant your extra practices (not trying to devalue that) but the only thing that'll hurt you guys is the scholly reduction. The bowl ban is trivial.
Amen :lawd:

We had 45,000 people at that bum as5 Ticketcity bowl last year :rudy: and they had Penn State playing that game on ESPNU :shaq2:

Anyone knowledgeable is aware that Penn State plays on ABC/ESPN(1 or 2) every week and had the No. 5 attendance in the land this year.. fukk a Beef O'Brady's bowl :heh:

No. 1 agenda right now is keeping the gawd wide receiver Allen Robinson from transferring. And wait till people see our secret redshirt weapon Eugene Lewis run the offense next year :wow:

But nah, I gotta chill and save you the paragraphs.... I'm too ready for 2013 already lol :snoop:

That's a way to look at it. But I mean for a program like Penn State and not the players, i'm pretty sure going to a Xmas Day bowl game wouldn't make recruits flock to Happy Valley. Gifts are great, but if you aren't playing for it all of a BCS game, it's overrated.

What college football player would want to stay at Penn State over USC?Penn State can go 8-4 for next 3-4 years but no bowl games until 2016.Good luck selling that to recruits. "If you play for us,the only benfit you can have is your name on the back of your jersey, you wont ever see a bowl game here"

How many programs can offer you no less than 95,000 people at your stadium for a game against Indiana? :stopitslime:

Plus we got a beautiful campus, good student life, one of the best degrees around and the highest graduation rate of D1 football players bar-none :yeshrug:

Don't forget the pro-style offense run by BOB -- you think that's not going to drive every QB and TE to want to come here?

Obviously didn't stop CHackenberg (No. 1 QB in the land) and Brenneman (No. 1 rated TE) from wanting to come :umad:

Bowl games are gabbage -- those plays don't wanna practice for five extra weeks only to play some bum as5 bowl in Houston and have their Christmas breaks derailed.

Very few schools can match PSU's:
- education
- coaching
- fanbase/attendance
- TV exposure

all at the same time.

Matt Cassel never took a snap at USC and ended up being a NFL start with a fat ass contract.. if Redd can play he's gonna make it in the NFL regardless.

He's still going to a bowl game and considering the caliber of bytches at USC..he won regardless :troll:

Silas Redd is a disgrace. Coming out of high school it was Penn State that gave him a scholarship and a chance to play Division 1 football. USC never offered him a scholarship. Then a few years later the Trojans realize their running backs suck and decide they want Redd after all and he doesn't hesitate to leave. What a disloyal little bytch. I am not even a Penn State fan but I can't stand people that show no loyalty and jump ship when the going gets tough.

Not to mention how Redd turned his back on all his teammates that he shed blood, sweat, and tears with on the field just when they needed him most.
