Also, wrestling fans were NEVER cool. Wrestling was cool, but not fans. Are fans of any entertainment outlet cool?

I saw a tweet the other day after the ibou shyt that said what’s wrong with fans nowadays is that they want to be insiders instead of fans and I agree but add bookers on top of that.

The neckbeards will never allow this. I have a couple of buddies that we occasionally get together for a PPV or something, but not often. I do have a friend that throws a gathering for all the big WWE PPVs, but he lives a few hours away. So unless a PPV just happend to fall on a weekend I was out his way I'm not going to any of his things. I don't think it will ever be like it was during the attitude era though. I mean it wasn't a matter of are we watching wrestling, it was just at whose crib were we doing it.

Batista and Cena created a new group of kid fans, wrestling was NOT mainstream and cool in the mid-late 2000s like it was in the late 90s.

And to answer OP, no. Showing love to retro wrestling is kind of cool, watching SD and Raw every week is not. I don't make the rules. Smark neckbeards who listen to Meltzer are a small part of that.

Also ufc took all of wrestling cool factor away due to the fact it is way more edgy

That’s true. It’s why I don’t analyze every little thing and complain about it. I just watch because it’s entertaining. If you can’t enjoy most of the show/product and always bytching about something, how about stop watching and see something you actually enjoy?

I think OP is just talking about talking the offline "just have fun" attitude people have to online discussion. I think that's never gonna happen because people online will never behave like they do offline. Wrestling has nothing to do with it though, it's just inherent to online discourse about anything.

Yeah, I got that, but the title at face value says otherwise. A more appropriate title would be “why is the IWC filled with weird behavior that doesn’t reflect some fans in real life?”
