Knowing what I know about Chris Rock now. It all makes sense that he was a go along to get along self depreciating Sambo. It doesn’t come up as assassination. That word is reserved for political leaders, and royalty, not entertainers.

And I didn't look very hard either. You can find the word used for many murders that weren't political like that.

Like someone else said, Malcolm X, MLK, Fred Hampton, Huey P Newton, etc. were assassinated.

These were civil rights leaders, many of whom were in some way shape or form involved in the political world.

Tupac, on the other hand, did some stupid shyt and got himself killed in retaliation.

Even Slim Charles knew the difference between a murder and an assassination.
