There's a difference between going for steals and actually defending people.
Excatly, you don't know what the fukk you're talking about.

Okay well firstly he's replacing Barnes in the death ball lineup, so that lineup will officially be Curry/Klay/Iggy/Durant/Green.
Durant is 6'11", he's taller than Barnes was, a better defender than Barnes is, a better rim protector than Barnes is(so he can help Green protect the help), can effectively switch onto most players, and adds a lot more size to that "small ball" lineup without removing any of the added spacing.
In fact he adds a lot more spacing because it's Kevin Durant. This is a guy that has averaged 27+ for 6 damn years in a row when healthy? He's a better 3 point shooter than Barnes, he's a better passer/playmaker than Barnes(he was the second playmaker on the Thunder and routinely found open players although he's awful at actually handling the ball without turning it over),he's a better dribbler than Barnes and can make his way to the basket with ease, he's a better finisher than Barnes, he's a better midrange scorer than Barnes and one of the best in the league, and he's certainly going to make a hell of lot more open baskets than Barnes did.
I have no idea how you think adding a MVP isn't going to make them better against elite competition. Durant doesn't need the ball to score, he can easily catch and shoot and his added size lets him shoot over people too so nothing will be a problem as far as his addition goes. The system in golden state already has the ball moving around and swinging around in the half court, not one player dominating it, so it won't be "there's only one ball to go around" problem as they already ball the move effectively.
Speights was trash and replacing Barnes with KD is a no brainier. Bogut was a role player who can be replaced. Barbosa wasn't always in their rotation either.Everything u said was good
Wat abt the bench
Warriors strength was their bench
Speight, bogut , barbosa, barnes r good
GS wont be as dominant as last year
Where have people like you been for the last year and a half when people were hyping Curry up to be up there with Mike and 'em? Curry was just voted the first unanimous MVP in league history a few months ago, but it's obvious that Durant is better than he is? This instant revisionism is hilarious.Durant is obviously the better player
The difference in that situation is that Wade was already on the downside of his career. It was easier for him to fall back and defer to Lebron because he was passed his prime while Lebron was in the middle of his prime. Both Steph and Durant are in the middle of their prime. Why would Steph fall back and defer to Durant? Is Durant comin there to be a role player to Steph?smart players make adjustments to reach the ultimate goal of winning it all.
these cats put their egos in check and did it. ditto with the spurs for a lot of years.

Now all a sudden, Durant is obviously the better playerDurant is obviously the better player and makes a great team even better.
I think LeBron would have been more shook if the Warriors added Kawhi Leonard
KD for whatever reason has the quietest games against LeBron. He gets his #s, but never puts fear in him.
However, Curry and Klay should benefit greatly by his addition.

To answer the question of the thread, I wonder how this is going to work as well. I'm interested to see who defers between Curry and Durant. I also wonder how Draymond's role will be effected. He's actually the best play maker in the team but it seems inevitable that his touches will decrease. They'll have some shot to work out and guys are going to have to make sacrifices for this to work. The fukked up part is that they won't be really challenged until the conference finals at the earliest.
