Hiphop shift to putting precedence of flow & overall musicality over lyrics kind of exposes Nas limitations. Don't get me wrong he's still one of the GOATs but every Nas album is pretty much the same, same kind of beats, he struggles to ride beats that aren't boom bap and the beats he does ride are usually weak, same flows, weak singles, same kind of headphone music.

No such shift occurred. Hip hop has always put flow and musicality over lyrics
