I feel you. I feel like Fashawn kind of messed up his own career/buzz though. He could have been a household name after Boy Meets World came out. That album was a critical success, but he never capitalized on his buzz. A lot of people that love Boy Meets World don't even know what hes up to these days. In this market, if you're not constantly dropping and putting yourself all the way out there it's easy to get swept under the rug. Look at Chuuwee, he released Watching the Throne last year, millennium falcon, Crown Me King, and Ch3z over the past couple months. He makes sure he has blog coverage. All that said though, I have yet to meet someone that has listened to Fashawn and didn't like himpeep my edited post. i wasn't trying to shyt on him, just merely saying i don't think he will be as good as fash and i don't think he's naturally as gifted. that being said he's dope. and if he DOES improve like that, i'll gladly eat my words as i'll have another dope artist to follow

You act like this dude is some mainstream figure that is getting all this shine or something and everyone is sleeping on Fashawn. Look at everyone else you listed compared to Chuuwee. Chuuwee isn't even as popular as J.cole after the Come Up dropped. I'm just saying why are you shytting on another underground rapper like he has the game on lock. All these dudes need love, but do you have to shyt on another dude in the process?

great points and i co-sign all of this. BMW was practically like 1 step under blu's blow the heavens when it first came out (due to exile). personally i think its a 4.7 if blu's is a 5.0. it's really damn good for a debut underground west coast artist.
but i must say after that album, i feel he started inviting too many of his weed carrier friends to rap on his shyt and tbh when some ppl look at the tracklist i'm sure they're like "who the fukk is that?" and skip the track because the see fash featured some wack nikka on it.
i'm hoping this feature on the new alc album will bring him back a bit because he KILLED that shyt. fash is one of my favorites but i do agree he's had some career missteps since BMW

. It's the downfall of a bunch of rappers. It's cool that they be trying to put their nikkas on and put a little money in their pocket, but why they gotta invite them on songs knowing damn well they can't rap. There are other ways to get your nikkas paid

Fashawn is the only cat out that freshmen class I became an honest fan of. He can rap circles around nikkas. It's between him And Blu for top spot out in the new west with Kendrick in a distant 3rd. He don't get the props and attention he deserves. Should hook up with Madlib or someone to get some more attention to his projects
