He's a very good player and, BASED ON LAST SEASON (which is as far as we can truly go), he is an ARGUABLE top ten player. I'm trying to figure out what's with the demanding push to crown him as the third best player in the league though. Once factoring "potential" into equation (which I hate to do but in his case it's justified) then yeah he's a top ten player. That said, I'd predict he'll be one of the six or so best players in the league this coming season, but until he proves it (and also until his team makes the playoffs) it just is what it is, a lot of people will rightly argue that he's not a top ten player.
As far as bigs go, we got Lamarcus Aldridge, Blake Griffin, Kevin Love, Al Jefferson, Dwight Howard, Demarcus Cousins, Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Bosh, and Tim Duncan who can all argue they were/are better than him, based on this past season or overall skillsets (I'm not saying they all certainly are better, I'm saying reasonable arguments can be made). Once you throw in the perimeter players as well, it's easy to see how someone could have him NOT in their top ten.
