I think he wanted his bread. That supermax. I think that's why he and Wall had the conflict. He wanted to be the man. But with Beal at the Helm if the wizards franchise with no Wall we were lotto the entire time. He's a bucket yes but.. he's an undersized two who can't be moved to the point. So team building around him is hard. Wall was a big one so it worked. Now with Suns it's like how does it work when the others can do his job better. Do you bench him and let him go off against second units or is that wasting his talents. Unfortunately now book is forced to do the playmaking. Tyus was in there too and we had Tyus as well in Washington and hes good but makes your backcourt undersized and weak defensively.
I knew for the lifetime of Beals contract at that price tag we would be fukked cause you can't build a team around him with the rest of the cap money.
He now has suns hostage and will do what's best for him. I wonder what his next contract will look like. But I think him and his wife are about what's best for them which I don't blame them.
