Can we talk about how some wedding photographers be taking worse pics than the latest smart phone?

I was at my bro's wedding and we got the wedding pics they are straight trash! The pics my fam had with their phones took way better pics?! The camera was all big and fancy but the smart phone was better!!!

This isn't one time either my friends got married in ATL and the pics had most of the pics with their eyes closed.

They just hired a shytty one, but to be honest, even though it’s mad money to be made for a photographer, if you aren’t skilled to do things quickly or have a high tolerance for bullshyt not going your way it is stressful AS fukk. I did a wedding once and I’d rather struggle getting other gigs

These folks actually cut costs on a photographer and then ran online to trash the whole field. Smh

You get what you pay for. There is no law saying you need training to open a photography business and you don't need a permit. So anyone you hire to do it needs to be scrutinized more harshly than usual. Ask for samples. Speak to past customers. Read reviews.

That shyt don't even matter for real, you can shoot a wedding with pretty much any dslr camera from the last 10 years. They just hired an inexperienced photographer, probably didn't cost much and could've been last minute.
