Except McDonalds which manages to make pop with less flavor than the shyt at home

But yesterday I was in Grosse Pointe and I had some shyt so rich that by the third refill I had to chill
I was like this shyt so good I ain't had nothing like it
It was Sierra Mist

it's because the ratio of syrup to carbonated water (higher syrup) for fountain drinks is different than bottled or canned to offset the melting ice.

also they pre-chill the water, cold water holds more carbonation so not only is it sweeter but it tastes "fresher" because the mix happens as you pour it (that's why you see 2 colors as it pours)

the cokes in a can or bottle are pre-mixed and haven't been kept cold so they taste like ass (or more sour at least)

edit: if you're mcdonalds sucks it's because they aren't cleaning the machine or it's calibrated wrong.
