I mean since the world is getting upset over Jimmy Fallon in black face in the year 2000, for which he apologized for. But we expected that.
So let’s take a trip to back then, back when Dreamworks was taking a step to show Pixar that they too can digitally animate movies and be successful at it.
Coming to the stage we have Shrek. Haven’t seen it?

K. We’re caught up.
although the entire abandonment storyline was covered in the sequel (honestly I don’t recall beyond Puss In Boots and the creepy ass Donkey Dragon hybrid kids
cause the first Shrek was the best) they REALLY just let it slide that Fionas parents locked her in a tower to be watched over by a damn dragon. The king and queen couldn’t even provide her a care taker... nothin. A whole dragon. That’s literally it. Fiona didn’t even have any resentment or animosity towards her parents cause she was ‘cursed’ and not good enough for the family image.
idk y’all. What y’all think??
What if she got rescued at night and was in her other form?? Would whichever prince still be willing to wife??? I mean, this was a known detail about her since the Magic Mirror tried to warn Farquad about it...what kind of fukked up people had her best interest at heart??

Okay: Shrek is the not so traditional fairy tale story of an ogre going on a trek to rescue a princess to hand deliver to a slime bag short Lord Farquad all so Shrek can get these intruding fairy tale characters off his swamp.
Along for the trip we have a witty and hilarious side kick donkey named Donkey. Shrek saves the Princess who proves she isn’t a damsel in distress and can hold her own. Shrek starts catching feelings but feels he’s not good enough. But Fiona has a deep secret.
Donkey finds out about Fiona and tries to tell Shrek, but he don’t feel it’s his place. Shrek heard them talking overhearing Fiona saying don’t nobody wanna marry no ugly ass ogre. Fiona turns back into a beauty & wants to tell Shrek but can’t find the words... blah blah blah.
Shrek gets in his feelings and drags Fiona to Farquad. (Remember him?)
Farquad is thirsty & ready to wife. But before vows are exchanged Fiona changes forms. Farquad is ready to throw Fiona in a dungeon for eternity. Shrek and Donkey comes through and saves the day. The Dragon eats Farquad, Princess Fiona and Shrek kiss revealing Fiona’s true form as an ogre.
