None whatsoever. Pride should be reserved for individual achievement. Being black isn't a skill. Being white isn't a talent. Being Asian isn't an accomplishment. Since no one "does" anything to be what color they are, there is no reason to take pride in what race you are. Skin color is nothing more than a genetic accident.

I like your argument, I really do and it will be a good day when society as a whole reaches that state of mind. But lets be honest, society as whole is no where close to that day or that state of mind.

And if not pride, there still has to be fail-safe in acknowledging and also caring about the skin you are in, as forgetting it even for a minute can point blank lead to you being dead and in the ground, and often times in society and especially American society that's the only place where race does not matter.
