A lot of dudes on here are legit narcissists and sociopaths who WILL clown you and your situation while offering no help or even a well wish at all. Yeah,i think everybody knows in the back of their mind the rent could change. But what are you going to do if you dont have the money? I dont know if thecoli understands how poor people actually are out here. Suprised that people dont have emergency income. Suprised peoples families dont have money to loan out indefinitely. People clinging to 50-100$ knowing they might have an emergency that could turn their life upside down. Much of thecoli comes from priveledge and doesnt understand how close people are to being in the same situation. Alot of people dont know how close they themselves are too being in this situation. All it takes is a few tragic events for things to crumble.
They are right about the discipline aspect. For alot of us getting ahead will basically mean not living life. Just working non stop,going home,going to sleep,going back to work. Hard for me to tell anyone to live like that though. You can do all that and drop dead,having lost out on many enjoyable moments.
One thing i will say is maybe you should try to find a cheaper extended stay. I stayed in one in atlanta that was kindve ducked off for 200$ a week. Even in the past 2 or 3 years it was that same price. It had roaches pretty bad,but it wasnt violence.
Dont know the cost of living in houston but seems like its probably something cheaper out there. Cutting the rent out or down should be top priority.
