Can y'all imagine how many high school/AAU kids are shooting their teams out of games right now? LOL

gonna see 6'10 Curry/KD type point guards in the future with unblockable shots at 35 feet out. KD and Curry is the blueprint.

if you scholar bound and dont go to an AAU circuit, then a regular ass HS coach gonna have to monitor the kids playing time, akademics, health etc.

I was just referencing the Kobe Bryant diss to the AAU circuit.

Already. I see this already and I'm on a different continent. I can only imagine how bad it is stateside
This AAU culture is raising a bunch of pussies. They feel like theyre too good to play street ball in the summer. Many legends were born on the black top. Thats why when I read scouting articles about players popping in the city I never heard of them because they didnt come through the rec centers. I kind of blame the public school system for not investing enough and forcing the best players to go prep. Its kind of weird. I feel like some of these players are manufactured. Theyre parentd have them in camps at 5 amd shyt

Young cats overlook the defensive prowess, ball movement, and overall chemistry of Jordan and Curry's teams and imitate the glamorous highlight plays only. Not MJ and Steph's fault.

This is one the reasons the 1-year rule got instituted. For every LeBron, Kobe, KG, or T-Mac there were 10 other guys who lacked the fundamentals, athleticism, and basketball IQ to go to the next level.

Whether you like that rule or not, you can't argue with results. Look at the players it has produced with all-around skillsets and high IQ.

Guards like Wall, Rose, Steph, Kyrie, Lowry, etc.

Bigmen with versatile skillsets like AD, Boogie, Towns, Porzingis, etc.

Yep. Both Curry and MJ mastered the art of playing without the ball. Always gets overlooked due to guys being concerned about their box scores.

Nothing new. I remember in the mid 90s when 5'7 kids used to do the dream shake every time they get the ball. in the early 00s, it was all about AI and and 1 cross over.

I'm more worried about the impact of Kristaps Porzingis success tbh
