I'm from Dallas, but I've lived in Houston and been to Austin.

I personally never really liked cities like Austin and Waco. Really "conservative" feeling cities. If you're black, I wouldn't suggest going to Austin. Lots of stuck up CACs and Asians down there. Women are OK. Night life is OK.

Houston on the other hand is a large city with a small town feeling to it. Almost like Atlanta. Nightlife is lit. Women are bad (and diverse). Always something to do. Has an established hip hop scene.

Austin is pretty diverse as far as chicks go. Fitness is big so you see lots of girls working out or with good bodies. The racism is more liberal and less blatant. Cops are ass but they're not usually aggressive or trying to run down dudes with weed. It's mostly drunk drivers and shyt.

Night life is cool. Hit up dirty 6th on a Friday and Saturday and you'll see so many bad females looking good. Not as good as Houston but still decent.

What's your scene? I can kinda point you to where you prolly wanna hit up.

appreciate the feedback from everyone, and hip hop old or new, or anything mixed, where they play everything. If its edm and etc that would be cool too, just dont want to be to akward trying to make friends.

I got family in Austin and it's like a emergency thing. It's way too bad in Chicago. But I wanted to get to Houston anyway this year. And because no snow, lol. I knows it's wayy cheaper to live down there. I know the south is known to be racist, but I honestly think it's nothing like Chicago. You really don't notice how bad it is until you get older. Heard the chics look wayy better down there. It's more of a black and overall middle class. Just seems like a overall better place to live. Plus I know the Texas music scene is blowing up. I've done all I can do really here in Chicago music video wise. Everyone here has a crab in a barrel mentality, just tired of living around people like that.

This is a lie. Austin is majority white with a sprinkling of Asians and Indians.

For black culture and nightlife focus on primarily Houston, with Dallas as an inferior alternative.

I live near Manor and I'm seeing a lot more brehs and brehettes out here but I have been hearing the gentrification is getting crazy out there on the East side so I might believe you.

I mostly roll with brehs so I might be biased.
