Dame Lilliard(according to dude i was arguing with)
Westbrook
Cousins

Demarcus Cousins is by no means an elite scorer, absolutely no excuse for a big man to be shooting 41.7% for the year. He's a great player all around, but I don't think most people with any knowledge of the game would really argue that he's an elite scorer. Lillard isn't an elite scorer yet either, he should get there at some point, and he's already very close, but I wouldn't say he's there yet.

Westbrook is shooting 46.3% on the year, way better than 40%. As far as being an elite scorer, tough call, he's a great scorer, and an aggressive scorer, but he shoots on average 9-19. He does play aggressively enough to get to the line 8 times a game, makes 6 of them. With that in mind, I'd have to say he's an elite scorer, he's not a pure scorer (ala Curry and Durant), just like Lebron not's a pure scorer, but they're both elite scorers, it might not look pretty all the time, but they can take over a game and assert their will over the game as a scorer more times than not. It might not be with beautiful, graceful jumpers, but they can get to and finish at the rim probably the two best in the game at it too, draw contact in the process and get to the line, and if they get going they're both very capable jump shooters as well.

As for the premise of the thread, I'd say yes, but very conditionally. Iverson was an elite scorer and his career fg% is 42.5%, his jump shot was pretty bad and streaky, but he got to the net at will and finished great at the rim, he was great at drawing contact and getting to the line. Taking into consideration that he was 5'11'' and probably 155-160 lbs AT MOST (listed at 6" 165 lbs, but that was very generous), he was an elite scorer through just sheer force of will, and heart and determination. So yes I'd say someone shooting 40% could be an elite scorer, but like I said it's very conditional.

Any big man shooting under 45% IMO couldn't be considered an elite scorer, and a PF/C even shooting 45% better be scoring 26+ ppg to even be in the conversation of being an elite scorer to me.
