Im talking about in life. Brothas out here buying jewelry, cars, watches, just to flex:patrice:

People show you more love when you're shining with some jewelry and a nice ride. Thing is, im not a dude who needs to brag alot:manny:got me out here upgrading my chain, about to cop a pinky ring with diamonds in it:mjcry: (I got some extra money for some work i did this past summer)

Picture dudes like Wale/Nas/AZ vs Jay/all these new Atl rappers with all this jewelry on. I wanna know if this is just a fact of life (that you gotta stunt to a degree) or am i trippen

Stop trying to be like these rappers. Stunt your own way
I probably shoulda rephrased.

I meant as far as getting some jewelry, etc. Im not bold enough to cop a new car..I have an older camry that runs fine.

I feel you on that but ive been in that lane for about 6 years now. Im 22 and just got my first "real" job. I wont say how much but i finally have disposable income for the first time.

Im tired of people thinking im broke. Some people dont even know i work, on some Tommy Strawn type stuff. They just know i moved..I just dont wanna get sucked into the cycle of "its never enough" like always having to upgrade my car, jewelry etc

nah that's facts breh, i got my first real job at 22 too, don't get me wrong, i definitely copped my favorite clothing brands i couldn't cop when i was broke (bape, supreme, etc.) but it's in little splurges, i always had a love for kicks so i dabble in that but i don't really call that stuntin', it's having some exclusive clothes lol just make sure you save however much you can each month :yeshrug:make sure you travel outside the country with your brehs who got their bread right too

Being flossy and flashy is glorified in our culture because having money is historically new to black people. We're use to having little or nothing so when fortunate comes people want to show it off. Whether it's out of arrogance, happiness or financial irresponsibility.
