This chick is actually strong as shyt :dahell:A bit of coaching and she would easily have it in a matter of week, her form is just shyt

A strongman competitor said deadlifts are terrible and nobody really should be doing it

There’s an old cac at my gym who is in his 60s that deadlifts 4 plates with no issues.

I can see deadlifts being an issue for a dude at 6’8 :ehh: For regular people there’s nothing wrong with some kind of deadlift variation. It’s a very important movement pattern, just find what’s best for your biomechanics.

Honestly, i think deadlifts are useless af. Especially the standard barbell way.
Maybe with the barbell since that part is unnatural..but it's probably the closest lift to stuff people do in real life (picking up heavy boxes, moving furniture). Using the back, legs, core etc.

If I could only do one thing...it's probably dips. Cleans/deads/squats probably activate the most muscles but require the most technical proficiency...and are useless if done wrong.

Hinge movements are a key part of an active life. It would be silly to dismiss some form of them in training and high level athletes use variations all the time.
