Can you dress more versatile now that you've gotten older/mature?

yes....not black people (diaspora) per se .......................more so African Americans........................

I just went to Old Navy the other day...got two nice striped sweaters, a tan striped button up short sleeve, and a lil jacket.........can't remember if I've ever purcahsed anything from that store before cause I just assumed it was really for lily whites....now there are some things in there...I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot stick, but the things I got are easier for me to digest fashion wise...

I been going ham in old navy lately...they got mad cheap and nice stuff.

i got a couple shirts from there and a cardigan

that is kinda true...i hat brand whores....and black women seem to be that way.

but that is mainly hood bishes, and they can be either white or black, and i dont go near either of those.

but yeah...high school was the worst...it was a fashion show every day for some people...i even got caught up in that shyt for my junior and senior year :snoop:

but when i got to college, and became more educated, and met pawgs, i saw the light :myman:

I see what you did there:youngsabo:

yeah me too, breh. i rock a lot of work stuff and "professional" looking clothing. i even rock plaids, rock tees and "hipster" looking shirts and outfits. idc what niccas say. i like how kid cudi dresses.

my lil cousins were the "in" shyt like tru religion, seven jeans, etc and dumb shyt like that.

and i like, too but i dont own much urban gear. what kind of urban shyt do you own?

and yes, cacs dress TERRIBLE sometimes and that is why I want to know if they can be more versatile.

Most of the urban stuff I have is LRG, but its not alot. I don't have hardly any of those expensive ass jeans. I bought 5 pair of Levi's last year and keep them in rotation. To be honest I was never that into urban clothes. Even through High school I wore Polos and Khakis and dressed kind of preppy most of the time.

I'm more into looking neat and clean, than trendy and stylish. nikkas going broke trying to get YSL t-shirt. I'm cool with rocking some Perry Ellis shyt.

Everyboy who knows me understands. I'm all about trying infiltrate these white companies and playing the game to get what I want. And the last thing I'ma do is worry about what the hood thinks about how I dress.

i disagree to an extent.

growing up in the hood, everyone tried to outdo each other and dress a certain way and be fly and flashy and rock the "in" shyt.

your white, so you may not understand the black culture, but its was disgust :ohlawd:

and i kind of dress more related to mt personality now because im older, more educated and got out of that ghetto environment/state of mind

Was it back in the early 00s when everyone and their moms was rocking Rocawear/ Sean John/ PhatFarm/ Jordans/ and Nike Airs? That was that time period where you saw dudes have bigger wardrobes than chicks :upsetfavre:

Especially if you black. You gotta out dress and "out-swag" your competition to get a chance. You can capitalize on getting mad chicks without doing all that by moving to another city/ region:pachaha:

If they laugh at you for wearing cheaper clothes, laugh at them for spending way too much money on shyt that's gonna wear out or that they're gonna out grow. :manny:

On another note... I do my shopping on eBay. Jeans worth hundreds for twenty bucks. :myman:

if you went to an all black middle or high school, it is "hood culture" not "black culture" and a lot of blacks are in the hood

it def is a part of culture though...shyt -- listen to rap music. its materialistic as hell. look at chief keef instagram. thats all the kids care about.

I'm 26

My style is as versatile as it has ever been. I've spent racks on building a collection of business attire while at the same time keeping my collection of kicks growing (both dress and sneakers).

It started when I left college and got a real job I went into the office and saw what people were wearin'. They was like :beli:

I was like :lolbron:

- Most black people live in the suburbs
- I went to a black school. I was pretty much business-to business casual any time I stepped on campus. Never been picked on or had anyone say anything. A lot fo my friends are the same.
- You are a grown man. Why are you associating with kids? I'm a grown man, I'm not lookin' at chief keef or whoever's instagram :what:

Stop speaking for all black people. :wtb:
