Can you get a ticket for turning left on the signal without turn signals?

I just got pulled over turning left on a left turn signal but I didn't have my turning signal on. I find it weird because there ain't no other way to turn but left. I pointed it out and he then mentioned I wasn't wearing a seat belt, so he said he will give me a ticket for that instead because I won't get points. It really seems I was profiled and he had another trooper with him that was young and wearing a florescent vest.

I would fight the hell out of that damn ticket on principle.

How the hell does he know I didn't have my seat belt on. I took the seat belt off, when I pulled over.

I think I would probably file a damn complaint on his goofy ass.

i got this same ticket probably 8 years ago an it makes no sense...the cop at the time was a know a$$hole...so your not wrong...i would fight it
