Unless you played college ball most people have no idea how fast a 90 mph pitch is. fukking 70 mph is terrifying if you have never seen one.

If it was a celeb game and it was made for me to hit, i could outrun a toss from shallow right field. Otherwise, i'd have to pray the ball hit me somewhere that doesnt bruise easily.

I picked "Maybe, on a fluke" because the at bat would last, at most, three pitches because I'd be up there from the gate swinging as hard as I could. Honestly, if I had a foul tip I'd jog around the bases screaming like I hit a home run, then immediately retire to the dugout.

I wonder what it's like to have an at bat against a knuckleballer.

There is no chance in hell that I get walked. The pitcher would have no respect for me and would just throw it down the middle of the plate.

If I make contact, it will be something weak.

I would hope that I get hit by a pitch or something. Thats the only way.

If you give me 600ab against mlb pitching, im getting a couple hits. :beli:

I kind of agree, if you played up to a high school level (and I mean batting, not just sitting on the bench waiting for your turn to pitch). I mean if all the practice, instruction, and time with a pitching machine comes along with it. I think a high school level dude could "luck" into getting on base maybe 3-5 times. But for one game or series fresh off the street, HELL NO!!

edit: I'm talking about an absurd scenario where a team will give you the entire season.
