yeah, i was a teen in the early 90's. there were NO cellphones....(well, my homeboy's mom had a cell phone, but it was in a briefcase and it had to be tethered to the cigarette lighter in the car). we had pagers, pay phones, and hunting sensibilities. i also had my own phone number/answering machine in my room as a teenager all through high school. i ate VERY well off of that arrangement. never had to worry about people listening on the other end. kept the ringer on silent at night. i had one of those phones that would light up when it rang. never disturbed anyone in the house.
my first cell phone was in 1997 and it was $150 a month for 30 minutes of crappy service and $3 a minute if you went over.
Man hell yea!! I had one of these, perfect for getting those late night convo's on without the ringer waking up everybody in the apt complex.
