R&b is not dead. It just doesn't get the machine push that it used to.

Are a few that I consistently listen to who has put out good r&b music and their albums are quality. It's a lot more too

The only thing is, the machine is not turning anymore of these soulful r&b folks into stars like they used to in the 80s and 90s. But honestly who cares what mainstream feels. If you love music you have to search out for who got quality material. That's what I do. I dont wait until the radio and tv shows tell me who hot. I like how things are nice underground feel to it and it keeps those artist hungry and raw in what they produce. If mainstream gets too involved r&b will turn back to the halftime pop show.

Lol HER don't even got an album yet technically. She's one of my "favorite" new artists, but she has yet to actually show she's worthy of the hype. Her last two outings weren't that strong imo.

This list is an example of quality over quantity. Like I see a bunch of people naming these artists and more, but most of them fall far below the level of quality R&B had up until the mid 2000s.
