Can you see a bullet coming ?

Ironically I’m reading a book about the civil war and it said the only way you could see a cannonball coming is if you were directly in its path. So I’d imagine that was also the last thing you saw. Bullet would be too small traveling too fast, but if you did see it I’d imagine itd also be the last thing you ever saw.

It's a frame of reference deal. If you're in the direct path you don't have to spend a lot of effort to track it as it airs you out since it's the only thing moving relative to your vision. If you're perpendicular your eyes and brain have to process the moving projectile and a moving frame over time. It's gonna be a similar concept with a bullet, but at 50 feet it will hit you before your brain can process what's happening. You'll see the flash and hear the shot and then :dead:.

Honestly depends on the caliber. A .45 suppressed with heavy grains one can probably see. .45 is a relatively lower velocity round than 9mm. I've seen a .45 suppressed indoors but you still have to look for it.

Honestly you won't see most rounds unless its a tracer round.
