A while back I was at some party and I asked a kid what time it was.
I didn't have my phone and wasn't wearing a watch, but there was a clock on the wall of the dining room.
He didn't know how to read it. Now I'm not here to bash an 8 year old kid. If he wasn't taught, that's not on him.
But given that handwriting in cursive doesn't seem to be taught these days, it made me wonder. Do kids even learn how to tell time off a clock? Or is this out of style now because numbers are displayed digitally on phones and tablets?
