Pretty small. You got your Caribbeans, your Africans and then the Natural-Borns. Most blacks who aren't from here live around the Downtown area, which gets a bad rep due to crime late at night. I got a breh who I think used to live somewhere in Africa and came here, forgot what country tho, and my other breh is Trinidadian but born here. But the Filipino community here is crazy, they dominate damn near everything. Man I tried applying to fast food joints and never got hired... and yet most of them don't speak English clearly. :beli: Best friend is Filipino, and old Asian women are CRAZY. :mjlol: Even he doesn't like talking to her. Aboriginals are here too, lots of them. Law enforcement hates them tho. Shame too cause Aboriginals are good people and don't seem to be on their :mjpls:shyt. Then, you got the whites where you see everywhere. Mostly Ukrainian, never understood that. You could PAWG here, but the candidates for the most part are airheaded or basically lacking personality. Then again I'm 21 so :yeshrug:, a lot of white girls I meet basically got the same personality. I'm originally an Ontario child (Born in Ajax) and my parents came from the islands.

They're only a problem when you're downtown at night and you're walking around or bussing. The real issue are the wily ass kids who carry machetes and mace cans. Apparently, one time a bunch of kids jumped a dikkie dee man a few houses away from my place on a Sunday. I didn't witness this myself, it was my friends in a van who were waiting for me who told me, and we were gonna head to church. And I rarely go to that church I was heading to that day, so it was strange. And as for the Filipinas? I notice a lot of them are skinny, you see some fat ones too, but when you come across a bad one... :whoo:

I always wanted to visit winnipeg i dunno why but I love seeing canada, like i been to halifax and it was cool, same when I went to bc.

As a black man you can pawg anywhere in canada, black males only make up 0.4% of the population, if you can pawg in toronto where you have 200k other nikkaz to compete with you can pawg anywhere :blessed:. Minus montreal and toronto the rest of canada has such a tiny tiny tiny black population its pretty surreal when you travel

Winnipeg is cool, there's not much to the city if we're gonna keep it real, but if you're more of a outdoorsy dude who enjoys parks and stuff like that, the city may be up your alley. We got a lot of parks here. But I wouldn't recommend moving here or even visiting in the winter, it gets around -35c around January/February every year. Ontario is lucky, y'all have -10 or so winters lol.


I've been learning this, and it's opened my eyes. Of course you got white people more willing to pull the stereotype shyt on you cause we're not exactly common seeing around here, on some "you're black, but how come you don't talk like other blacks?" when they don't understand that 1) We Code-Switch and 2) Accents are regional, but if you're winning or at least have a driven and positive attitude, you'd pawg pretty easily. Especially if you're against 200k of other nikkas and you're clearly a stand out.


Naw, at least from what I've noticed. They don't like white folks as a collective, but when it comes to blacks it seems we're cool. Maybe it's due to common evils? Who knows. :manny: But I do know that they're good people. They just want the respect that's due, and just yesterday they had a Aboriginal dude running for Mayor. Obviously he didn't win, but maybe people aren't ready for it yet. Young dude. Apparently had a PhD too. But that's how it goes. Well I was born in Ajax, moved around a lot as a little kid. I lived in Oshawa, Whitby, Bowmanville and Peterborough (Which is the GOAT small town I've ever lived in... peace and quiet :blessed:). Then my parents thought that life would be better if we lived in the States, even though we were doing well already, so we moved to the Chi where my Aunt and Uncle live. I was maybe 8 going on 9 at the time. Had to give up damn near everything, and we didn't have a place of our own so my mom, my little sister and I bunked at my Auntie's apartment on Granville (for you Chi nikkas following along) while my dad was finalizing everything back in Canada. So we eventually landed apartment, but it was this run-down building and old people were living in it. (On Winthrop Ave) Always had a cockroach problem, and we were poor cause my mom was pregnant with my youngest sister so she couldn't work, so my dad had to take up two jobs just for us to get by. So while other kids had fly shyt to wear like brand name Nike and Adidas, all we could afford was Payless. And you know how kids are. I got bullied cause I was the poor black fat kid from Canada who didn't have cool shyt. I always got bullied back then, I even got jumped and chased for shyt I never even did. So eventually I transferred out and went to another school, and shyt went a lot better. Met a few kids I'm still cool with. This was around Grade 7. We ended up moving outta that place and moved to a newer place that was closer to the newer school, and this place was on Berwyn Ave. A lot nicer, spacious and it felt like we were doing better. But, my parents felt that shyt just wasn't working out, so we decided to move back to Canada. And since they're both in the Nursing field and heard Winnipeg was in need of people, we chose there to move. So once again, we gave up damn near everything again, loaded up our stuff in a van our church gave to us (Let that sink in) and away we went. That was in 2006. So I lived in America for about 5-6 years. Came here and I've been living here ever since.

The entire black population at Carleton is basically from toronto, so there's that.

But it is kinda wack. The more east ward you go the more French nikkas speak. Mainly why I don't go to Orleans or St. Laurent
