Canada has a smarter Prime Minister than we do

Are you from Canada? I'm not disqualifying you from having an opinion on this matter, I'm just curious. You seem to have a lot of disdain for Trudeau?

I was actually born in Canada. And lived in Canada half my life.
In fact I lived in Montreal for 4 years and just left last summer.

Before Trudeau was even elected ppl were having the same issues they had with trump.

Not enough experience
No background in politics
Only got where he was because his family

And since then we have seen he is just another con man. Talks the talk, never backs it up. Avoids questions, does convenient photo ops when he can. Just went on his propaganda tour to schools and places where he was trying to rebuild his image but ppl saw right through that.
Couldn't answer any tough questions, and really stuck with the preplanned answers he had.


He's a fraud, but a lot of ppl buy in to him because he's sooo handsome and he's a feminist and he pretends to care about (certain) ppl.

Seeing him with George Soros kinda explains a lot of his current heel change

I don't really doubt it either. But that bar is so low.

I will say this though, both of these guys got elected off their personalities and not for their smarts and experience.

Neither one are great for their respective countries long term, but at the end of the day I'd rather have Trudeau than Trump.


Another thing most ppl don't realize when discussing Canadian/American politics, is that in Canada the Conservative party is STILL more liberal than the Dems in the USA.

Someone supporting Conservative in Canada, is similar to someone supporting the democrats in the states.

the problem is that ppl only see labels and conflate them. which is fundamentally wrong.

There are ppl, including journalists and others that claim that speech was a setup. It was a "performance " to make him come off smarter than he really is. Most ppl in Canada don't look at him as some smart guy. Not stupid, but not an intellectual by any means.
Other videos show him asking journalists to ask him that specific question so he can rhyme off his rehearsed lines. Notice how he didn't use his normal speech patterns? No ums or hmmm? Because it wasn't coming off the top,of his head like that.

Again, hes an actor.

Major newspaper chains all lean Conservative in Canada.

Quebecor media, largest media chain in the province is critical of him.

Sun chain obviously has been hysterical since the day he got elected.

PostMedia is often critical ( National Post, Ottawa Citizen, Montreal Gazette etc)


Globe and Mail also has critical (and fair) coverage of him. Their editorial board endorsed Harper the last election.

Perhaps the only major newspaper that is solidly in Liberal camp is the Toronto Star. It has big circulation but its Toronto-only.

CBC only seems liberal friendly, because its coverage is often "sunnier"

The idea the Canadian media is in the bag for Trudeau is straight up a CPC invention. Its a common trait for right-leaning parties to see media conspiracies everywhere these days
