Even French Canadian players didn't wanna be here a few years back because they'd have fakkit reporters combing through their trash cans and hiding in trees to dig up dirt on their personal lives. And the Habs are too p*ssy to take away press passes or denounce the media. Guy Carbonneau, our captain and one of the best 2 way forwards ever, was traded for giving a reporter the finger
When Canadian teams are winning, attracting free agents isn't too big of a problem, Canada is a great place to be when things are going good, but the moment the teams starts losing playing here becomes a nightmare. The Canadian media really needs to chill. Even the World Junior team(17-20 year old kids) aren't spared. Before the gold medal of this year, these kids were getting ripped to shreds by TSN for not winning a tournament that nobody outside of Canada cares about.
