Why do we act like kids don't know? Like their some innocent saints who don't have cellphones and older siblings, or cousins. Like kids don't need to understand how things operate and work, up to and including sex.

When did we become so conservative that we run from reality like older generations?

I don't know what you grew up on, but I had shows like The OG Degrassi that showed teenage pregnancy and sex. Or movies like Kids that dealt with drugs, sex, Aids.

Why are we trying to hide queer people and trans people from kids? Are we hiding them from the kids or ourselves? Stop treating kids like stupid cattle.

Parents raise their kids how they choose. It's not necessarily about hiding kids from that stuff, it's more about when they are fine with their kids being exposed to that content.

If anyone here thinks that when they were a kid, if they would have read something that said "it's OK to be gay" and just by reading that they turned gay... I got some news for you... YOU GAY!

You can not turn a straight person gay or "indoctrinate" them into being gay. If they come out as gay after reading about gay acceptance then they were always gay and reading about gay acceptance made them more comfortable being "out" as gay. As far as grooming, I'd feel way more comfortable with kids in a classroom with a teacher who teaches lgbtq acceptance than I would in a room in Afghanistan full of muslim men. Isn't Afghanistan one of the strictest muslim theocracies in the world? Yet a lot of the muslim men in positions of power engage in that Bachi Bazi shyt . Not saying all muslims in Afghanistan do that but it's way more prevalent in religion than in classrooms.

Some people just don't want to explain something they themselves don't understand and thats all the more reason to actually learn about this so you're not caught flat footed when it's in your face.

Whether you like it or not, your child will see a person who looks like a man dressed as a woman and vice versa. Whether you like it or not, your kid will see a same sex couple holding hands or dropping their kids off at the school.

You can either educate your kids on what that is so they understand what's going on or let them form their own conclusions. Either way it's happening but you can still have some control if you learn what these types of people are, and explain it to your kids.

Teaching them about what sex is and what LGBT actually are can actually help them understand when someone is hurting them.



The real indoctrination is the people who want to pretend LGBT don't exist or aren't real.
