This documentary broke all this down 12 years ago. Monsanto strong armed Roundup onto pretty much every farm in America through their intellectual property. If farmers weren’t paying for their genetically engineered RoundUp soybeans, Monsanto would prove they were infringing on their patents when they’d inevitably find a few seeds on nonpaying farms…and sue them until they remitted.

Monsanto and now Bayer are so big they have lobbied on both side of the aisle so they do whatever they want

I just checked and it's in line with what I expected. Not perfect but at least the synthetic chemicals have to have been studied with regards to human health.
